This is Merrimack Station, a coal-fired power plant in Bow, NH. As a New Hampshire native working for Conservation Law Foundation, I'm working to end the destructive impacts of coal-fired power plants on the health and environment of New England's communities.

Clean Air Ambassador | , New Hampshire

Caitlin Peale

I'm an attorney at Conservation Law Foundation, a non-profit environmental advocacy organization focused on protecting public health, the environment, and communities for all people in New England. A large portion of my work focuses on working toward closing New Hampshire's coal-burning power plants, in addition to those remaining in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

As a New Hampshire native, preventing asthma, heart disease, and other health problems caused or exacerbated by coal plant pollution in New Hampshire holds a special place in my heart.

50 States United For Healthy Air

Clean air should be a fundamental right. Air pollution causes asthma attacks, lung disease, and even death. But our bodies don't have to be the dumping ground for dirty industries.

The technology to dramatically reduce harmful air pollution is available today, and major polluters should be required to use it.

Clean Air Ambassadors from every state are sending a powerful message: Everyone has a right to breathe clean, healthy air.

It’s time Congress and the EPA used their ears to help our lungs.
