Clean Air Ambassador | Madison, Wisconsin

Katy Walter

I lead Clean Wisconsin’s outreach efforts around energy policies. I coordinate field and communication strategies and serve as a liaison between clean energy businesses and the legislature.

My experience includes training student activists around the environment and civic engagement, and directing fundraising canvass to fight climate change. I'm a graduate of UW-La Crosse with bachelor's degrees in sociology and political science.

My favorite things to do outdoors in Wisconsin include canoeing the Kickapoo River and hiking the bluffs of La Crosse.

Climate change is happening: We are responsible for it, the consequences will be dire, and we need to stop it.

50 States United For Healthy Air

Clean air should be a fundamental right. Air pollution causes asthma attacks, lung disease, and even death. But our bodies don't have to be the dumping ground for dirty industries.

The technology to dramatically reduce harmful air pollution is available today, and major polluters should be required to use it.

Clean Air Ambassadors from every state are sending a powerful message: Everyone has a right to breathe clean, healthy air.

It’s time Congress and the EPA used their ears to help our lungs.
