Benefits

Earthjustice is a non-profit environmental law firm dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wild­ life of this earth, and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment. We bring far­ reaching change by enforcing and strengthening environmental laws on behalf of hundreds of organizations and communities.

To help our employees live and work well, Earthjustice provides a comprehensive employee benefits package and pays 100% of all health and welfare benefits premi­ums. Coverage is also available for an employee's spouse, domestic partner or child (up to age 26) with the employee sharing in the cost of the dependent's premiums. Benefits become effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Comprehensive Medical Plans

All eligible employees are offered coverage under a Premier PPO plan insured by Anthem. California employees may also choose an HMO option through either Anthem or Kaiser. Employees in Washington, DC also have a Kaiser HMO option.

Principal Dental PPO Plan

Principal offers a PPO plan with in-network and out-of-network coverage. The plan includes orthodontia benefits for children to age 19.

Vision

Comprehensive vision insurance is provided by VSP. Eye exams, lenses and frames are covered every 12 months.

403(b)

Eligible employees begin to receive contributions of up to 10% after two years of employment and are 100% vested immediately. The employee may, however, elect to voluntarily contribute to Earthjustice's retirement plans immediately.

Set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified health care and dependent care expenses.

Parking & Mass Transit Accounts

Use pre-tax dollars to offset parking and transit expenses.

Life and Disability Insurance

Life insurance, up to $100,000, and disability insurance that replaces 60% of weekly or monthly income are fully paid by Earthjustice.

Holidays

9 paid company holidays; 2 floating holidays for employees to use at their discretion and 1 birthday holiday.

Vacation

15 days per year for new hires to 5 years of service; 20 days for 5 to 10 years of service; 25 days per year for 11 years or more of service.
