Colleen Fitzgerrell is a litigation assistant with the Washington, D.C., office.
Colleen is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, minoring in Environmental Policy & Culture. At Northwestern University, she founded the student group and food justice campaign, Real Food at Northwestern University (NURF), winning a commitment from the university president to shift 20% of annual campus food purchases to ecologically sound, humane, fair, or local food.
While running NURF, Colleen served a six-month internship with the Natural Resources Defense Council litigation team in Chicago, working on clean air and endangered species cases. Prior to this work, she conducted research with a Ph.D. candidate, studying the governance structures of rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
