Title: Litigation Assistant
Emily is a litigation assistant in Earthjustice’s Northeast office. She received her B.A. in sustainable development and history at Columbia University. Emily interned at the Peace Corps headquarters and the Sierra Club political department in D.C. during her college years. Inspired by a guest lecture on hydraulic fracturing given by Earthjustice attorney Deborah Goldberg at her university, Emily joined Earthjustice in July 2009.
Emily currently works on several issues including coal ash, solid waste regulations, factory farming, and Marcellus Shale development. She helps with factual research and creates GIS maps to show what human and environmental communities are impacted by existing and proposed polluting facilities. Emily currently resides in New York, though she enjoys any opportunity she can get to escape the city and enjoy the great outdoors.
