Laura joined Earthjustice in 2017 as an associate attorney in the Washington, D.C., office, where she works in the Healthy Communities program.
Laura holds a Masters degree in aquatics from the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment, and she graduated first in her class from Vermont Law School in 2012. Laura’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Notre Dame, where she stayed on for several years to teach Italian and establish a total immersion Italian theatre program before her career change.
After law school, Laura clerked for the Vermont Superior Court, Environmental Division, a unique state-wide court that presides over land use and environmental cases. She then served for three years as staff counsel at Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility’s D.C. headquarters, handling environmental, public records act, and whistleblower retaliation cases and managing the law clerk recruiting program. Her work focused heavily on the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Whistleblower Protection Act. Laura is passionate about clean air and water, and dedicated to freeing our communities from toxic chemical exposure.
