Terry McGuire is a senior legislative representative on the Healthy Communities team in Earthjustice’s Policy & Legislation (PAL) Department. He focuses on Clean Air Act issues and helps our partners navigate legislative and administrative landscapes to effect change and protect their communities from air pollution.

Prior to joining Earthjustice, Terry worked for almost 5 years at the Sierra Club as a federal policy advocate on their trail-blazing Beyond Coal campaign. Before that, he worked at the Human Rights Campaign as a field organizer on LGBT equality initiatives and campaigns across the country.

A native of Southwest Virginia, he attended Virginia Tech where he got a B.S. in Environmental Policy & Planning and was active in progressive organizing on campus. When he isn’t working, he enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, following Virginia politics, and hanging out with his cat, Tofu.
