Sarah Works is the Attorney for the Northwest Values Project, focusing on research regarding enviromental values, and implementation of legal strategies to engage diverse groups on important environmental issues. In addition, Sarah works on issues related to the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, federal Indian law, and the Endangered Species Act. Since graduating with honors from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1995, Sarah has represented dozens of Indian tribes throughout the country, and has served as the Attorney General for both the Hualapai Tribe and the Yavapai-Apache Nation. Sarah grew up on the edge of the Colville Indian Reservation in North Central Washington State, and graduated from Okanogan High School in 1987. She attended the University of Idaho for her undergraduate studies, receiving a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Political Science in 1992. While at the University of Idaho, she lettered in basketball and was active in college radio. Sarah is licensed to practice law in Washington, Arizona, the District of Columbia, New Mexico (inactive), the Navajo Nation (inactive), and a number of tribal jurisdictions.
