State leaders are rolling out the red carpet for the gas industry in Ohio. Governor Kasich has been pushing hard to expand fracking in the state, with a proposal to open up state land, including parks and universities, to oil and gas drilling. The state has also gotten itself into the polluted water business, storing, treating and dumping wastewater from fracking projects in other states into Ohio rivers.
Below is a map of some of the high profile incidents ("fraccidents") related to the country's gas drilling boom that have already occurred in and around Ohio. Click on any fraccident to learn more.
