The San Diego Herpetological Society (SDHS) is non-profit organization that has been dedicated to the study, appreciation and conservation of amphibians and reptiles for over twenty years. Some of its members are professionals in the field, while others have just purchased their first family pet. The Society is a diverse group with one thing in common - appreciating amphibians and reptiles as beautiful and exceptional creatures. The Society strives to reduce prejudices and misconceptions that exist about these animals and the organization believes education is the only means to accomplish this goal. Lectures are held regularly to learn more about amphibians and reptiles and discuss our common interest and we camp and hike in hopes of seeing our favorite animals in the wild. The SDHS is a great place for children and adults to have fun, make friends and learn about these animals.
