Heidi has more than two decades of environmental litigation experience as staff attorney, legal director, conservation director, and most recently associate director, of the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance. Earthjustice has worked with Heidi closely over the decades as a client, co-counsel, and colleague on cases ranging from threatened and endangered species protection to fending off efforts to designate roads and off-road vehicle trails in Utah’s wild canyon country. Heidi joined Earthjustice in 2012 as Managing Attorney of the Rocky Mountain office.
Heidi received a BA in Political Science and German from the University of Arizona and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC. She received an LLM degree in environmental law from the University of Utah School of Law.
Heidi was named the Utah State Bar Energy, Natural Resources and Environment Section’s Lawyer of the Year in 2001, and until she joined Earthjustice, was the bar section’s Public Lands Committee chairperson.
