Matt Baca joined Earthjustice in January 2013 after clerking for a judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2011, Matt graduated from New York University School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he obtained a Master in Public Administration. During law school and policy school, Matt published a note on funding for climate change adaptation and started LexPop.org, which seeks to broaden participation in public policy discourse. Matt graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado – Boulder in 2007. Outside of the office, Matt enjoys hiking, reading and writing, photography, and dodgeball.
