‘Arbitrary’ Transmission Fee Threatens Montana Wind Development

Aurora Janke, Attorney, Earthjustice: “BPA’s proposed decision refuses to eliminate an unreasonable duplicate charge that has left nearly 200 MW of BPA’s transmission capacity unused since it was developed in the 1980s. This proposed decision is inconsistent with sound business principles and discriminates against Montana renewable resources seeking to supply energy to the Pacific Northwest.”
