From Our Clients: Lawsuit Over Trump Administration’s IRA Funding Freeze

Hana Vizcarra, Attorney at Earthjustice: “Today, we've sued the administration for unlawfully withholding grant funds appropriated by Congress under the Inflation Reduction Act. We filed our lawsuit on behalf of nonprofits and small farmers, some of which are here with us today, to force the administration to fulfill its financial commitments and release the IRA funds and prevent further irreparable harm."

Laura Beth Resnick of Butterbee Farm: "We were informed from the USDA that our funding had been rejected due to the freeze. We owe the solar company about $36,000, which we do not have. We would not have entered into this contract, if we thought that the funds wouldn't be provided."
