Ian Coghill is a senior attorney with the Rocky Mountain Office. His work focuses on protecting overburdened communities by reducing industrial pollution and advocating for greater regulatory protections for those communities. Ian believes that one of the keys to improving conditions in communities is to hold polluters and government agencies accountable.

Ian attended Northeastern University School of Law. Before joining Earthjustice, Ian worked for Conservation Law Foundation, where he developed and litigated environmental impact cases. Ian previously worked in private practice in Boston, where he practiced complex civil litigation — representing primarily clean energy companies, tech companies, and financial institutions — and maintained a very active pro bono practice. He also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Mark L. Wolf on the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
