A recipient of the 2008 Health Policy Fellowship from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Dr. Phoenix has made substantial contributions to health care reform and environmental health, notably through her work in the U.S. Senate and development of a home visiting program for children with developmental disabilities. She has engaged in international consultancy to eliminate leaded gasoline and led community-based participatory research in the District of Columbia.
