Earthjustice, on behalf of the Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club, Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance, the Humane Society of the U.S., and Help Our Wolves Live, today submitted two separate letters to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. One urges the agency to reconsider its proposal to remove wolves from protection under the federal Endangered Species Act. The other seeks to persuade the service to withdraw a separate proposal to allow the killing of up to 700 of the estimated 1,300 wolves that live in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming before delisting.
