According to press reports, the Trump administration will formally release a budget proposal tomorrow that would slash funding for agencies charged with protecting our environment, communities, and families.

Earthjustice President Trip Van Noppen issued the following statement:

“Polluters win, families lose—that’s Trump’s budget in a nutshell. It would be difficult to design a more damaging, backward-looking plan. Budgets are an expression of values, and this administration clearly values corporate polluters and fossil fuel industry interests over public health and safety. Cuts on the scale proposed in this budget would take a wrecking ball to countless key priorities—threatening the water we drink, the air we breathe, the parks we treasure, and the communities where we live and work. We urge members of Congress to speak out forcefully against this reckless plan and stand up for the health and safety of our communities and environment.”
