Today, the Biden administration announced to cut climate pollution by 61-66% by 2035 under the Paris Climate Agreement.
Jill Tauber, Vice President of Litigation for Climate & Energy, released the following statement in response:
“Today’s announcement is another benchmark in the Biden administration’s unmatched climate legacy. It sends a strong signal about the importance of climate action at every level to meet the pollution reductions targets that science demands. Even as the incoming administration threatens to stall progress at the federal level, states and cities across the country are stepping up. Earthjustice and our partners will continue to hold the federal government accountable and work with decision-makers across the country to advance climate solutions that cut emissions in this decisive decade.”
