Joint Comments: NYS DEC Implementation of CP-49

As New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) identifies, “human-induced climate change is the most pressing issue of our time.” The sources that contribute to destabilizing our climate also contribute to the excessive pollution burdens borne by many communities. CP-49 must address the urgency and severity of the climate crisis while also ensuring that pollution disparities affecting disadvantaged communities are addressed at the same time. CP-49 establishes policies for the Department to comply with the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).

EPA announces tighter fuel economy standards for cars and trucks
