Job Type: Clerk, Extern or Intern
The communications intern works with communications staff in Earthjustice's Washington, DC office to generate media and brand awareness of Earthjustice’s work. The intern will assist various teams within the department with communication projects that involve writing, online research, event planning, social media outreach, press tracking, blogging, multimedia producing and the occasional administrative duties. Through the internship, the intern will learn the various roles of the communications department at a large nonprofit environmental organization.
Applicants should be passionate about environmental issues and have exposure to previous communications work, though professional work experience is not required. Applicants should have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills, and be an independent, motivated worker. A working knowledge of online research and MS Office programs is required.
This is a part-time internship that requires a minimum of 15 hours per week. We offer a stipend and also welcome applications from candidates who can secure outside funding.
