Kara Goad is a senior associate attorney with the Sustainable Food and Farming Program, based in Washington, D.C.

After clerking for the Honorable Albert Diaz in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Honorable James P. Jones in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, Kara came to Earthjustice as a legal fellow with the Sustainable Food and Farming Program. Kara received her J.D. from Cornell Law School. During law school, she interned with the Appalachian Citizens’ Law Center and the Southern Environmental Law Center, and she participated in the Cornell Farmworker Legal Assistance Clinic and the Cornell Prison Education Program. Kara received her B.A. from the College of William and Mary, and she is from Blacksburg, Virginia
