Rebecca Curry is the Legislative Director for State & Regional Advocacy at Earthjustice, where she works across the organization’s offices, programs, and teams to coordinate state and regional advocacy strategies. She connects policy efforts and campaigns across states, building collaboration around Earthjustice’s policy priorities. An attorney, she brings experience in climate and clean energy policy, environmental justice, and air and water quality.

Rebecca returned to Earthjustice in 2026 after working at Rewiring America, where she first led legislative and regulatory efforts across the West and later oversaw policy strategies nationwide. Her work focused on electrification, the gas transition, and energy affordability. Previously, as the Colorado Policy Counsel at Earthjustice, she worked with community partners to advance landmark state legislation advancing environmental justice and addressing air and water pollution.

Before focusing on environmental advocacy, Rebecca worked at the ACLU of Colorado and ACLU of Mississippi, where she worked on economic justice and criminal legal system reform, including bail reform and efforts to end debtors’ prisons. She also worked as a legal intern with the Jefferson Parish Public Defender’s Office in Louisiana and with International Bridges to Justice in Cambodia.

Rebecca received her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and her B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Originally from the South, she now lives in the West.
