To help our employees live and work well, Earthjustice provides a comprehensive employee benefits package and pays 100% of all health and welfare benefits premiums. Coverage is also available for an employee's spouse, domestic partner or child (up to age 26) with the employee sharing in the cost of the dependent's premiums. Benefits become effective on the first of the month following employment.
9 paid company holidays; 2 floating holidays for employees to use at their discretion; and 1 birthday holiday.
Winter Holiday Office Closure
4 paid holidays during our winter office closure, in addition to the 9 paid company holidays during the year, between Christmas and New Year's.
15 days per year for new hires to 5 years of service; 20 days for 5 to 10 years of service; 25 days per year for 11 years or more of service.
Regular, full time employees accrue sick leave at the rate of one day per month beginning their first month of employment. Part-time employees will accrue sick leave on a pro-rata basis.
Comprehensive Medical Plans
All eligible employees are offered coverage under an EPO or a PPO plan insured by Blue Shield. Employees in California, Colorado, Washington, and Washington, D.C., may also choose an HMO option through Kaiser.
Delta Dental PPO Plan
Delta offers a PPO plan with in-network and out-of-network benefits. The plan includes coverage for orthodontia and dental implants.
Comprehensive vision insurance is provided by VSP. Eye exams, lenses and frames are covered every 12 months.
All employees may elect to voluntarily contribute to Earthjustice's 403(b) retirement plan. Once an employee reaches 1 year of employment, Earthjustice will begin to contribute a 3.5% salary match into the plan, which vests immediately. Once an employee reaches 2 years of employment, Earthjustice will begin to contribute a 10% salary match into the plan, which vests immediately.
