Bay Area Philanthropist Nicola Miner Joins Earthjustice Board of Trustees
Bay Area philanthropist Nicola Miner has joined the Board of Trustees at Earthjustice, the nation’s premier nonprofit environmental law organization.
Miner, President of Miner Anderson Family Foundation and an English instructor at College of San Mateo, has committed her time and energy to advancing the environmental movement after learning of alarming environmental rollbacks that threaten our communities.
“Right now, Earthjustice has the smartest, most effective approach to ensure that the bedrock environmental laws that protect families and children are preserved and lawfully implemented,” said Miner. “I’m excited to learn from the best environmental legal minds in the country, and offer my skills and experience to help strengthen environmental protections for all.”
Miner brings a wealth of experience from her previous work as Director of the Presidio Trust and serving on several boards, including San Francisco University High School, The San Francisco Ballet, The Baker Street Foundation, and The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
“Nicola is a welcome addition to the Earthjustice family and board,” said Earthjustice President Trip Van Noppen. “She brings a vibrant spirit and deep commitment to Earthjustice’s mission. We’re happy to have her join our effort to preserve and protect the planet and its inhabitants.”
Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change. We are here because the earth needs a good lawyer.
