On Tuesday, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW) is set to vote on Michael Regan’s nomination to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Earthjustice calls on senators from both sides of the aisle to advance his nomination.

The following is a statement from Earthjustice Vice-president of Policy and Legislation Martin Hayden:

“We commend EPW Chairman Tom Carper for quickly scheduling a vote to confirm the next EPA administrator. We urge Democratic and Republican committee members to unite and vote in favor of confirming Michael Regan as EPA administrator. The country needs and deserves an EPA administrator who will tackle the climate crisis, and address the environmental injustice that communities all over the country have been facing for generations. Indeed, we are confident Regan will ensure that EPA laws are strong and enforced faithfully and fairly, and that polluters are held accountable.”
