Aurora Janke joined Earthjustice’s Northwest regional office as a senior attorney in 2024, where she works to protect the environment and public health in the Northwest. Prior to joining the Northwest regional office, Aurora served as a Managing Assistant Attorney General with the Environmental Protection Division of the Washington Office of the Attorney General litigating cases under the Attorney General’s independent authority to protect Washington’s environment and the health of its people. Aurora previously worked as an associate attorney in Earthjustice’s Northern Rockies office in Bozeman, Montana.

Aurora received her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 2012 and clerked for Judge Ronald M. Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit between 2012 and 2013. Aurora received her undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University in 2007. When not practicing law, Aurora enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and eating delicious food, and being outside.
