Matthew Gerhart joined Earthjustice in August 2010 after practicing environmental law at a firm in Washington, D.C.
In 2008, Matthew graduated from the U.C. Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where he was admitted to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Matthew served as an extern for United States District Court Judge Marilyn Hall Patel.
Prior to attending law school, Matthew worked for the United States Forest Service leading youth conservation crews in the Klamath National Forest. Matthew graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Pomona College in 2001.
When he is not in the office, Matthew can be found hiking, climbing, and snowboarding throughout the Northwest.
