Gonzalo E. Rodriguez

Gonzalo E. Rodriguez (he/him) is an associate attorney based in the Washington, D.C., office. Prior to joining Earthjustice, Gonzalo served as the Charles Koob Environmental Litigation Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where he litigated cases before state and federal courts to protect wildlife and reduce air pollution in overburdened communities.
Gonzalo earned his law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2018, where he received the Dean V. Nathaniel Hansford Student Service and Leadership Award, and was inducted into the Order of the Samaritan. During law school, Gonzalo served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Law Review.
Gonzalo is an avid birder who is always looking to add new species to his life list. During his free time, he enjoys cooking and coming up with new recipes, and whittling wooden birds (which he then gifts to unsuspecting strangers).
Gonzalo is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the D.C., Second, and Ninth Circuits.
