Jill Fitzsimmons is the Public Affairs and Communications officer for Earthjustice’s Climate and Energy program. She is based in headquarters in San Francisco.
Jill joined Earthjustice after a decade working to advance progress on climate and energy issues through communications and advocacy. As a Director at Spitfire, she partnered with nonprofits fighting for safe drinking water, clean air and healthy oceans. Previously, she worked to elect climate champions and engage young voters at NextGen America. Jill also served as a consultant to the Risky Business Project around the release of a first-of-its-kind economic risk assessment of climate change in California. She honed her communication skills at Media Matters for America, where she worked to shift the media narrative on climate change. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC and POLITICO.
