Karilyn Roach

Karilyn Roach is a senior development writer.
Growing up near the forests and rivers of the Sierra Nevada foothills shaped Karilyn’s sense of beauty and what matters in this world. She has been fighting since age 19 to ensure that future generations have access to the enjoyment and security provided by these natural environments, and this work is more important now than ever. Through her years of experience in nonprofit development and community outreach, her passion for promoting community building, equity, and respect for the environment continues to grow and deepen.
In addition to a life-long respect for the power of language and stories to connect us, Karilyn holds a MS in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona and a BA in English Literature from San Francisco State University. When not working, she can usually be found out and about on city streets or mountain trails riding her bike, off on some adventure with her family, or with her nose buried in a good book.
Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change. We are here because the earth needs a good lawyer.
