Kathryn McGrath

Kathryn McGrath is the public affairs and communications strategist for the Clean Energy and International programs, working on issues such as federal and state energy regulation, coal ash, cleaning up the power sector, reducing energy demand from cryptocurrency, and expanding access to clean energy, both in the U.S. and internationally. She is based in Washington, D.C.
Kathryn has led communications for scientific, global health, and environmental organizations, engaging the public on scientific issues with a focus on policy, advocacy, and behavior change. Prior to joining Earthjustice, she served as a communications director at the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Sabin Vaccine Institute and developed digital content and led social media at the Natural Resources Defense Council. She graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in English.
