Paulo Palugod is an Associate Attorney based out of the Northwest Office.
Prior to Earthjustice, Paulo spent seven years as a political appointee in the Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. There he helped oversee the division’s docket, negotiated settlement of Clean Water Act violations by Sunoco Pipeline for oil spills, worked on the Deepwater Horizon enforcement case, and advanced the Obama administration’s initiatives to further environmental justice and honor obligations to Tribes. On detail to the Council on Environmental Quality, he oversaw the development of a stakeholder process and report on climate resilience. Thereafter, he moved to Seattle where he was deputy director of the Seattle Parks Foundation.
Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change. We are here because the earth needs a good lawyer.
