She spent 11 years as an investigative reporter, most recently producing radio and web pieces for KQED News. She previously served as News Editor at the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Her award-winning coverage has touched on a variety of issues including California utilities, mountaintop removal mining, Bay Area protests against police violence and racial inequality, homelessness, and San Francisco city government.
Rebecca is fond of drinking strong coffee, hiking through wild places in California, and exploring the many fascinating worlds that make up life and culture in the Bay Area.
