Robert Valencia

Robert Valencia is the Public Affairs and Communications strategist for Latino Engagement and Outreach. Prior to joining Earthjustice, he worked for Newsweek as the breaking news editor and was promoted to deputy world editor. He brings more than 10 years of experience working for mainstream media outlets, U.S. Hispanic and Latino news channels, and think tanks in Washington, D.C., and New York City. He’s a frequent commentator for CNN en Español, Al Jazeera, Univision, and Telemundo, to name a few. He has written for Mic.com, The North Star, NPR, The Miami Herald, and Public Radio International.
Robert holds an M.P.A. from Baruch College and a B.S. in communications from Florida International University.
