One Thing Environmentalists and Trump Actually Agree On

Human Rights Council Holds Interactive Dialogue On Human Rights And The Environment And On The Right To Food

In a joint statement, Earthjustice and the Centre for International Environmental Law noted that States had to engage in sustainable development to avoid overexploitation of ecosystems that could lead to severe human rights violations. They had to protect environmental defenders, indigenous peoples and others who directly relied on natural resources to satisfy their basic needs.
