Aaron Bloom is a senior attorney in Earthjustice’s Biodiversity Defense Program. He is based in New York City. Aaron works on a range of biodiversity issues for Earthjustice, including protecting endangered Mexican gray wolves and phasing out the use of lead ammunition and tackle on our National Wildlife Refuge system.

Prior to joining Earthjustice in 2022, Aaron was a senior counsel with the New York City Law Department for over 12 years, serving in the Affirmative Litigation, Appeals, and Impact Litigation Divisions. Before working for the City of New York, Aaron was a litigation fellow for the Natural Resources Defense Council and a litigation associate with Debevoise & Plimpton. He clerked for the Hon. Edward R. Korman in the Eastern District of New York. Aaron has a law degree from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in African-American Studies from Columbia University.
