As Director of Legal Training and Development, Anika Gzifa spearheads programs that support Earthjustice’s litigation team’s skill development, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

Previously, she was a Deputy Director of Professional Development and Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, a supervising attorney at the Children’s Law Center (Washington, D.C.), and Prettyman Fellow at the Georgetown University Law Center’s Juvenile Justice Clinic.

Anika holds a B.A. in English from Howard University, an M.A. in English Education from NYU School of Education, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an LL.M. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
