Ben Levitan is a senior attorney in the Biodiversity Defense Program. His work ranges from protecting migratory shorebirds at Delaware Bay to safeguarding mature and old-growth forests on federal lands nationwide.

Prior to joining Earthjustice in 2021, Ben was an attorney at Environmental Defense Fund, where he advocated for stronger limits on health- and climate-harming air pollution from the power sector. Before that, he held a fellowship with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
