Cameron Walkup is an associate legislative representative with the Policy and Legislation team in Washington, D.C., where he covers western waters and public lands issues.

Cameron joined Earthjustice in June 2022 after having served as a PAL Intern in the spring of 2018. He was previously the government relations coordinator for Defenders of Wildlife and had internships with Uplift Climate, the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, and The Wilderness Society. He was also part of the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program, a two-year environmental leadership program focusing on equitable and just conservation science and policy.

Cameron received his B.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
