Danielle Sandstedt is Vice President of Development at Earthjustice. She leverages more than 25 years of philanthropy leadership experience to advance the organization’s mission by creating the conditions for transformational giving.

Throughout her career, Danielle has built high-performing fundraising programs, cultivated enduring partnerships with supporters and volunteers, and helped mission-driven organizations achieve lasting impact in environmental protection and climate solutions, women’s health, and social justice.

At Earthjustice, she helped establish and lead the Principal Gifts team and has played an integral role in shaping campaigns that have generated more than $1 billion in philanthropic support. Her expertise spans principal, major, and institutional giving; campaign strategy and volunteer engagement; and strategic planning. As a member of Earthjustice’s Program Leadership Team, she works closely with colleagues to align philanthropic investments with strategic priorities and advance Earthjustice’s long-term vision.

Before joining Earthjustice, Danielle established and led the Conservation Lands Foundation’s Development program and served in a variety of leadership and fundraising roles with Planned Parenthood affiliates.

In addition to her professional work, Danielle mentors emerging leaders and advises community-led organizations on sustainable fundraising practices, campaign planning, and durable revenue models that strengthen long-term, growth, impact, and organizational resilience.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of Nebraska.
