Fernando Gaytan is a senior attorney in the California Regional Office focusing on our Right to Zero advocacy out of the Los Angeles Office. Fernando has over 18 years of litigation and policy experience working on issues ranging from affordable housing preservation, defending the civil rights of people experiencing homelessness, and protecting worker rights. He has served as lead counsel on several housing cases in federal and state court, resulting in strong tenant protections and improved housing conditions in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles. At Earthjustice, he is focused on litigation and advocacy aimed at ending dependency on fossil fuels and creating equitable zero-emissions solutions in California and beyond.
