Kristin Butler is a legislative representative in the Policy & Legislation (PAL) department at Earthjustice. She is based in Washington, D.C., and covers oceans for the Lands, Wildlife, and Oceans PAL team. Prior to joining Earthjustice, Kristin was a government relations representative at Defenders of Wildlife. Before that, she served as a Sea Grant Knauss legislative fellow in the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee.

Kristin earned a bachelor’s degree in Marine Affairs and Ecosystem Science & Policy and a master’s degree in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.
