Lauren is a senior attorney with the Gulf Regional Office. Her work focuses on representing communities and nonprofit groups in advocating for the health of communities affected by pollution and responding to climate change, the advancement of environmental justice, and the protection of air, water, and land resources across the Gulf.
Lauren previously was an assistant professor at the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic where she both practiced and taught public interest environmental law and procedure in federal and state courts, representing organizations and individuals throughout Louisiana in public comments, permit challenges, EPA petitions, public records and open meetings law disputes, and Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and state-law-based litigation. She authored papers on mass torts, ethics, and climate change. Prior to Tulane, Lauren worked in law firms in Louisiana and California, handling complex litigation, MDLs, and disaster-related lawsuits, including litigation arising out of Hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill.
Lauren is a graduate of NYU School of Law and received her BA in Environmental Sciences (high honors) from UC Berkeley. She lives outside of New Orleans with her family.
