Victoria M. Huggett graduated from Igbinedion University in Nigeria with a Bachelor of Law degree in 2007 and became an attorney. She worked as a Senior Associate Attorney for NNPC-NAPIMS (Nigeria’s National Oil Company) for five years before moving to the U.S. to pursue further studies. She graduated from the University of Denver, Colorado, with a master’s degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, specializing in Energy Law and Policy, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Development. Her interest in environmental issues grew during a climate change class, prompting her to pursue a doctorate in Environmental and Social Sustainability at Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs.

Ms. Huggett has nearly two decades of experience working in law, both domestically and internationally. She previously served as an adjunct professor at Arapahoe Community College, where she taught Environmental Law to paralegals for approximately seven years. Before her role as a Litigation Paralegal at Earthjustice, she held positions at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck Law Firm as an Environmental Paralegal and at Gibson Arnold and Associates Law Firm as a Paralegal. Additionally, she worked as a Litigation Paralegal for CenturyLink, a nationwide telecommunications company involved in significant class action litigation. Ms. Huggett currently resides in Elkton, Maryland, with her family.
