The Trump administration released a budget today that would slash funding for agencies charged with protecting our environment, communities, and families.

Earthjustice President Trip Van Noppen issued the following statement:

“Wealthy polluters win, families lose — that’s Trump’s budget in a nutshell. He has once again thrown down a damaging, backward-looking plan of extreme cuts that threaten the water we drink, the air we breathe, the parks and wildlife we treasure, and the communities where we live and work. Budgets are an expression of values, and this President and his administration has valued wealthy corporate polluters and fossil fuel industry interests over public health and safety at every turn. What’s more — his harmful and wasteful proposal of $18 billion for a border wall places fear-mongering above common sense. We urge members of Congress and Governors to speak out forcefully against this reckless plan and stand up for the health and safety of our communities and environment.”
